Abu Dhabi (Cool cities 2)

Sir Bani Yas is unlike any other destination in the Arabian Gulf. It is a wildlife community and bird sanctuary, showcasing nature through activities such as adventure safari, bird watching and offshore snorkeling. It will be a very important tourist base and destination because it is considered like a heart of island community, which offer recreation and resort experiences where tourist are fully immersed with the natural surrounding of the island.

Energy is not mentioned in the this. The website can add many energy saving features found the island such as the island will utilize solar and wind power, so all water on Sir Bani Yas Island will be sourced from a new desalination plant. In addition the Transport on the islands will be by electrical vehicle or similar energy saving vehicles (hydrogen, fuel cell). Moreover the island will host a pilot project for a renewable energy farm that produces enough power to supply the island’s energy needs. The planned features that reduce greenhouse emission are solve by reducing the consumption of fossil fuels and accelerating the transition to alternative forms of energy by using electrical vehicles(hydrogen, fuel cell).

Sir Bani Yas island become a green nature and animal reserve after the development from H.H Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan. It become a popular example for those seeking to protect environment and promote a revival of wildlife and it deserves on for the proposed development.
