Abu Dhabi (Cool cities 2)

Sir Bani Yas is unlike any other destination in the Arabian Gulf. It is a wildlife community and bird sanctuary, showcasing nature through activities such as adventure safari, bird watching and offshore snorkeling. It will be a very important tourist base and destination because it is considered like a heart of island community, which offer recreation and resort experiences where tourist are fully immersed with the natural surrounding of the island.

Energy is not mentioned in the this. The website can add many energy saving features found the island such as the island will utilize solar and wind power, so all water on Sir Bani Yas Island will be sourced from a new desalination plant. In addition the Transport on the islands will be by electrical vehicle or similar energy saving vehicles (hydrogen, fuel cell). Moreover the island will host a pilot project for a renewable energy farm that produces enough power to supply the island’s energy needs. The planned features that reduce greenhouse emission are solve by reducing the consumption of fossil fuels and accelerating the transition to alternative forms of energy by using electrical vehicles(hydrogen, fuel cell).

Sir Bani Yas island become a green nature and animal reserve after the development from H.H Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan. It become a popular example for those seeking to protect environment and promote a revival of wildlife and it deserves on for the proposed development.

Cool Cities

Cool Cities are highe-technology cities that were made to help protect the environment and invite new ways to prevent more damage to our environment and climate. With new technology, people try to make the environment more "cooler" and healthy than other cities. In this essay I will concentrate on the ways that will save energy and reduce carbon emissions.

Regarding ways to save the energy, Abu Dhabi is a example of the use ofmechanical roofs that respond to temperature and the seawater circulating under pavements. That means it will save a lot of money that is usually paid to cool the environment. These methods are a permanent and cheap.

My opinion about there kinds of proposed cities, Is that no doubt it is a very good and essential to reduce the use of energy, but all areas have advantages and disadvantages so it is necessory to pay pay attention to both sides.
Finally, this is my description of these cities. I hope they will be built as soon as possible, because that it means save a lot of money and the environment and climate.

My opinion about the "an inconvenient truth video"

My point view about the "An inconvenient truth" video is that I believe Al Gore because of many reasons explained below.

Firstly, the article was scientific because it included a lot of facts from scientists around the world and many ther aspects including political, scientific and artistic. Al Gore states that global warming is a problem which faces not only the USA but, also the whole planet. In addition it concludes results of curve in the diagram indicate dangerous signs of global warming. Overall this video talked about many countries which are experiencing the same effects of environmental change and damage. I think this programe is good to explain global warning because it’s organized with more evidence and research done by Al Gore. Also the governments had an important role in organizing to avoid global warming or reduce it by setting the rules which oblige the population to follow such as recycling.

In conclusion, to avoid global warming we all need to work together to give the population information about it on television or radio then we will return the environmental balanse to normal and creatures will stop and becoming extinct disappear.

Summary of "An inconvenient truth video"

The "An inconvenient truth" video which was made by Al Gore talks about global warming. The summary below included the main ideas and facts in the video.

The video firstly started with romantic slides of trees, rivers, fog and cows then shows the first picture of the Earth from space. After that the video talks about the Al Gore who was Vice-president for eight years in the USA. Al Gore is moral musings describing the story of how the Earth was photographed from space and his efforts to reduce global warming in his country and worldwide are seen. He encouraged us to change our feelings to the environment since the damage was caused by us. In addition, he mentioned that the vast majority of land mass and vegetation is in the northern hemisphere Also he encourage of us not to cause damage to the environment which is created by us. In addition, 40% of people around the world drink water frome glaciers which are melting and this threaten lives . Due to hurricanes, tornados, melting of icecaps and increases in sea level the Oceans which are affected.

In conclusion, coastal cities will disappear, elevating temperatures and increasing in the sea levels if the global warming is not stopped. So we must take care to take an immediate action before the situation becomes worse.
